Some MSI centers seem to check the laptop thoroughly for any signs of malfunctioning or damage before being shipped back to the customer, while others (Polish one in my experience) just reinstall windows and don't want to bother with the laptop too much unless something is obviously wrong. I am also very certain that there was in fact a chance that the pch was overheating - that can happen and would certainly cause the laptop to die prematurely if left unchecked. the ram in my msi was samsung ram with super long combo of letters and numbers, same as the nvme ssds that came with it). All stock MSI parts are pretty much OEM stuff though so don't be freaked out by long model numbers (e.g. as for ssd/ram/hdd you can easily check with hwinfo what model parts have been put in the laptop during the repair, then compare to stock reviews such as notebookcheck ones. Lets conclude that MSI laptops are made in China ^^ After all, msi is a Taiwanese company and that is pretty much a part of China.
